Well, we admit we're biased and there are plenty of great organizations that accept car donations, but here's why you should feel good about donating your old car to Habitat:

How to donate a car to Habitat for Humanity:
What types of vehicles can be donated?
First, you need to make sure we can accept your car donation. We accept almost all vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, boats, snowmobiles, farm equipment and construction equipment.
What information is required to donate a car?
You can then submit your donation information online through our donation wizard or by calling 1-877-277-4344. Please provide the following information about your vehicle:
• year
• they do
• Model
• body type
• color (optional)
• The mileage
• condition
• Can it be driven?
• Date of last payment
• VIN (optional)
• Certificate of title

After you submit your information online, a member of the Cars for Homes team at Habitat for Humanity will contact you within 1-3 business days to schedule pickup of your vehicle. So even if your car isn't running or you don't want to go through the process of taking it to a dealership, you can still make an impact!
What to expect after donating your car
We have a reputable agent, Advanced Remarketing Services, who handles the transfer, towing and reporting of all vehicle donations. This means that when you sign over your vehicle's address directly to them, you are legally transferring ownership of your vehicle to Habitat for Humanity. Once we receive your address and receive your vehicle, you will not be responsible for the vehicle.
Once you receive your car donation, the car will be sold on behalf of Habitat through a national network of auctions and direct buyers. All Habitat Auctions and Direct Buyers are licensed, insured and trusted in the states they operate in, so you know your vehicle will be in good hands. If it cannot be sold at a wholesale auction, the vehicle is taken to an auto repair yard where all reusable parts are removed and the vehicle can be recycled.
Once the vehicle is sold, you will receive a letter confirming the sale information of your vehicle. Keep this information handy if you want to claim a tax deduction!
